There are many thousands of forex books on the internet today. How do you sort through all the forex books to pick out the winners? By winners I mean the best forex book that can really help you become a better and profitable forex trader?
I have been reading free forex books and free forex material over the internet. But your success in forex will really not depend on free information. If you are really smart, you can find your way around, but it will cost you time and money. I started trading forex back in 2005 and equities back in 2000, just before the 2001 crash. So I have read alot, and one thing I discovered is that, you need only a few trading tools to make it as a forex trader.
The number 1 tool, is to find someone who is trading forex for a living and simply duplicate what they are doing and even overtake their performance. The second is a forex trading system with a clear entry strategy, trade management strategy and an exit strategy.
So in my opinion, there are only two books you really need, even if you are just starting out. If you get your hands on these two books, forget about any other thing and focus on the implementing the knowledge that you acquire, you will become a proficient forex trader. Irrespective of your trading experience level, you will understand where these two professional forex traders are coming from. Believe me, there are thousands of books I can recommend to you, but you will become overwhelmed. And one dangerous thing is moving from one system after another looking for the Holy Grail. My friend there is no holy grail. What I present to you today, be sure to get both books.
These are my two best forex books that I know off. There are other books written by big names and yes, they are all good. But the best for you if you want to trade forex for a living are these two:

Bird Watching in Lion Country is one of the best forex book you can read. You cannot go any further without reading this forex book. It will save you lost time and money. STOP! NEWBIE TRADERS. YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO NOT READ THIS BOOK!! In 2005 I started forex trading. Many months trading I was getting virtually no where. I followed some rules read a lot of books. Fundamental analysis, technical analysis. Books on psychology. After all the frustration, I stumble on bird watching in lion country. You will be looking for answers too, when you realized forex trading is not as easy as it appears. What will happen to you is what happened to me. And it is never pretty. You will jump from one system to another, hoping to find the holy grail. Forex trading is a discipline and if you can get the right educated and be disciplined to follow that system, you will do just fine.
